Contemplation and Action in Charity
3Our charism proper flows from the Salesian spirituality.  For us it consists in offering ourselves to God in all what we live and do: spiritual life and apostolate while humbly practising the most considerate charity. Father Brisson places the “Spiritual Directory for Daily Actions” in the heart of our lives. Its practice embraces our whole life in order to give it to God. He gives great importance to the article on the “Direction of text-action-contemplation2Intention”, through which we offer ourselves, through our actions, to God.  Such is the bread offered at the Eucharist, “Oblata” in Latin. Thus it follows that we live a life of union with God which gives our lives a contemplative dimension. text-action-contemplation-3We do everything “through God, with God, and for God” as Jesus did. We are called to imitate Jesus’ person and His whole life, to reprint the Gospel with our lives. That is what Francis de Sales entitles: “Live Jesus”. In our union with Christ we must know how to sacrifice time, strength and personal interests. In the joy of giving, each Sister gives more importance to the others than she gives to herself.
